The Founding 100

100 organisations. One shared standard. India’s next chapter.

The first cohort will not merely endorse an idea. It will shape the institution, licence the consumer-facing icon and establish how responsible data-driven advertising becomes operational in India.

01

Recognition

Be identified as part of India’s first AdChoices founding cohort.

02

Three-year certainty

Lock the founding terms agreed with your organisation for three years.

03

Ready to deploy

Licence the icon today and connect consumers to established DAA choice tools.

Three participation tracks

Lead the framework. Put it to work.

A Council seat is not ceremonial. Programme participation is not a statement of intent. Choose the role your organisation is ready to own.

A practical answer to fragmentation

The market needs a table before it needs another report.

Laws define obligations. Industry leadership determines whether trust becomes operational. AdChoices provides a globally recognised self-regulatory framework that complements national data protection regulation—including India’s DPDP Act—while preserving responsible industry innovation.

Visible now

The icon is already appearing in advertising served in India.

Across global networks, leading publishers and scores of brands—without implying DAA Asia membership or endorsement.

Usable now

Established consumer choice tools are available today.

The opportunity is to add local leadership, adoption and accountability around an operating global programme.

Notice people can see. Choice people can use.

AdChoices is a plug-and-play self-regulatory programme. Participating organisations commit to DAA Principles, deploy the AdChoices notice and connect consumers to a choice tool that enables opt-out signals to participating companies.

Decide with clarity

The questions procurement, legal and leadership will ask.

What exactly is being sold at launch?

The standard commercial offer at launch is the annual AdChoices icon licence. Choice-tool integration and other programme arrangements are discussed during onboarding.

Do Council organisations count within the Founding 100?

Yes. The Founding 100 includes Council organisations and programme participants. It is one cohort with distinct leadership and adoption pathways.

What do founding organisations receive?

Founding organisations receive recognition as part of India’s first cohort and their agreed founding terms are locked for three years.

Does AdChoices replace compliance with the DPDP Act?

No. AdChoices complements statutory obligations through industry-led transparency, consumer choice and accountability. Each organisation remains responsible for its legal obligations.

Does an application create a commitment?

No. It starts a private fit conversation. Any participation terms, licence commitments and fees are documented separately.

How are applications reviewed?

Council conversations and Founding 100 applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Council allocations are limited by constituency and role fit.
